The paper "The Killer Fly Hunger Games: Target Size and Speed Predict Decision to Pursuit" is now published in Brain, Behaviour and Evolution.

The paper describes the predatory behaviour of a small dipteran as determined by the subtended angle of the prey on the ommatidia, and is regulated by metabolic state, as well as their ability to respond to stimuli smaller than the photoreceptor acceptance angle.
